This Month in Senses: March 2016

I stumbled across this post last month, which inspired me to start a series called This Month in Senses.
Taste
At the moment my new obsession is Lipton's Peach Iced Tea. Oh my golly gosh, I love this stuff. I've always loved the immediate taste of black tea but I hate it's bitter after taste. I love peach iced tea because you get the initial sweetness of tea, and then sweetness of black taste - without the bitter aftertaste!
Sight

I'm currently reading Black-Eyed Susans by Julia Heaberlin. It's was called "thriller of the year" and I'm really loving it. It's such an exciting, fast paced story that's written really well, flitting between past and present. Check it out on Amazon here!
Touch
Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter. I got a deluxe sample size (which is actually lasting a really long time!) and I've been using it recently in my bath and it feels really nice. I've always thought that bath and general body products are a bit here and there, and that they all do pretty much the same thing, so I've never ventured into high end brands. This body butter though feels so soft and creamy, and genuinely leaves my skin feeling hydrated.

Smell
I used to work as a Barista, and what I loved about that job was being constantly around the smell of coffee. I love it, I think it smells so warm and homely. At the moment I'm loving Lush's face mask Cup o Coffee, it smells just like freshly brewed coffee! Even better - it's a wonderful exfoliator (even for my sensitive skin)!
Sound
Foxes album "All I Need". I remember downloading Holding Onto Heaven for free when it was single of the week on iTunes and loving it, but not exploring any more of Foxes's songs for ages. Recently, I was looking to download more music so I was going through songs on my phone that I like, and decided to have a look at what else Foxes has released. Talk about love at first listen! I love that she has so many up beat, happy, sing-a-long-to-in-the-car songs.

Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed this post. Why don't you describe your March in 5 senses?

  2. I love this post, I think it's an amazing idea, and I might have to do this style of favourites myself! I wish I liked coffee, I don't even like the smell of it! That body butter sounds amazing though, I've never tried anything from Clinique before! xxx
