What's in my Bag?

I always love reading What's in my Bag posts, so I thought I'd share mine!

Of course, my purse! Fiorelli Lydia Small Flapover purse (here, also similar here). I switched to a bigger one for a while but went back to this one. It has a lot of card space, two large spaces for receipts/notes, and a decent amount of space for coins, whilst still being nice and compact.

A portable phone charger by EC technology (here); a portable phone charger is a necessity of modern life now, aren't they? I've been through several and this one is by far the best. It has separate sockets for iPhones and iPads so that the device distributes the right amount of 'charge' (sorry, I'm not tech-savvy enough to know the right terminology..) and it charges really quick! What I also like about this compared to other portable chargers I've used is that it flashes to show you how much charge it's holding, so you're not caught off guard when you think you've taken back up power, but your battery pack isn't charged. It's large, which is the only downside, but it's not particularly heavy.

Perfume! Who doesn't like to smell nice? I always carry an eau de toilette to freshen up throughout the day. I carry either the Body Shop Eau De Toilette in Shea (here) or, my favourite - I really want to get a big bottle of this at some point - New York by Autograph (here). It's such a beautiful fragrance and is available in the perfect size for a handbag.

I'm a lip balm junkie, and my current favourite is Burts Bees Lip Balm in Coconut and Pear, which you can get here, and if you use the code "EXPRESS2ME" you'll get a discount! Oh my gosh I'd never have guessed coconut and pear would have gone together but it's so yummy and smells incredible! I love Burts Bees lip balms; I suffer with dry lips (random fact about me: I insist on sleeping with a fan on because I can't sleep in silence ... so my lips are always dry because of the fan) but I hate that feeling of greasy, oily lip balms. Burts Bees lip balms have a more waxy feel to them, so they feel very light weight and comfortable. Plus, they are intensely moisturising. They get the job done.

I always carry around antibacterial gel. I'm not a germaphobe, but it's handy to have. The Cowshed Cow Slip Hand Gel (here) is a mix between a gel and a cream, so it kills bacteria as well as having moisturising effects. It's also peppermint and orange scented and it smells absolutely delicious.

I still carry around with me an ordinary hand cream, though. I use the Coconut Hand Cream by The Body Shop (here). I just love the scent of coconut! It makes me feel really nostalgic. When I was younger, I used to wear the Gwen Stefani Harajuku perfume that was coconut scented (I think it was Baby?). Plus, it makes everything more summery.

Finally, I always carry a hair band and plasters around with me just in case!
If anybody is wondering, this is my handbag:
It's by Radley, I can't find the actual one on the website but this one is very similar (I think mine is a little bigger and a little more square?) (Also similar here and here). I chose this handbag because it hangs at a perfect height on me - right at my hip. I hate over the shoulder bags where all the stuff you need to get to ends up awkwardly under your arm pit, or long bags where it's at your knees. It's also the perfect size for me, it's a medium size, perfect to fit all my stuff in but it's not huge. It has a couple of nice little compartments, too. The leather is incredibly soft, and it's so pretty to look at! I think my favourite thing about this, though, is the detail! How beautiful is the striped mint interior!
