NEW Urban Decay Products REVIEW

Last week Urban Decay launched their summer products and here are my first picks and thoughts on them.
I got the bronzer in Sun Kissed, and the new highlighting powders in Sin and Aura.
First off, the packaging is really pretty. Especially the bronzer, that has the beautiful palm tree image. But I have to say: they feel cheap. They are very light, but very plastic. They're a lot thinner than I expected them to be.

Nonetheless, the packaging is really just a side note. It's all about what's on the inside.
I am in love with the bronzer. Sun Kissed is such a perfect shade for my skin tone! I love the formula too, it's very opaque yet super light weight and buildable. It feels soft to apply and incredibly easy to blend. It was a God send when I was having difficulty with the new Nars liquid Laguna bronzer: one buff of this over the top and, hey presto! Fixed and perfectly bronzed.
L-R: Sin, Aura
The highlighters are stunning colours. Especially Sin, it's a beautiful light, champagne-y colour that's so complimentary to my skin tone. Aura is a cool tone pink that is still highlight on my pale skin and not a blush-highlight overlay. I'm really pleased about that, pink toned highlighters often don't work for my skin tone! However, I have found that they can cling to texture on my skin. They're really pigmented powders, so I have to apply them scarcely otherwise the powder is very noticeable, especially on my forehead. There is also quite a lot of fall out, unfortunately, unless you apply a very small amount. When I highlighted just above me eyebrows there was sparkly pigment all in my brows! Granted, I am very heavy handed, and I do think these 'set backs', in a way, suggest the quality of the product: they're incredibly pigmented. In my experience, I have to only use a tiny amount of product, but it means it's going to last a really long time!

I love Urban Decay pricing, it's really not excessive at all. The highlighters are £19 each and the bronzer is £20. When you compare it to other high end brands with easily comparable quality, they are such good value!

If you're pale like me, I strongly recommend both the highlighters. Sin is absolutely stunning, and if you've struggled to find a pink toned highlighter, Aura is for you.
