Winter Favourites

Back in October, I emulated Jaclyn Hill's Fall Favourites tag in this post. I really enjoyed doing it, so I decided to do another, this time with a Winter twist!

Favourite Candle
Has to be Winter Frost from DW Home! It smells wintery and fresh, not just christmass-y and spicy. I love the jar, too. It's got adorable little antler prints on it! I can't find that exact one on their website, but you can shop their new holiday collection here

Favourite Christmas Movie
Muppets Christmas Carol! Yes, I am 20. I'm not even ashamed that I also have the soundtrack on my phone... 'tis the season to be jolly and joyous, fa la la...

Cheesiest Christmas Movie

For me and my mum it's kind of a tradition that we go out of our way to find the cheesiest, cringiest Christmas movie. A Royal Christmas ticks all the cheesy boxes: a cliche plot, bad acting and lots of Christmas decorations. What more do you want for a Christmas Day afternoon matinee viewing?
Favourite Lip Colour
I love a good red lip for Winter, it's so Christmass-y and bold. My current go-to is Jouer Brique, but I think my all time favourite red is Russian Red from MAC.
Favourite Drink
I am loving the Fudge hot chocolate from Starbucks, it's so yummy! I don't have that much of a sweet tooth really so I didn't think I'd like the fudge flavouring, but it's so good!

Favourite Christmas Food
Obviously food is a huge part of Christmas so I wanted to include this. Aside from the obvious meal everybody has on the big day - my favourite food around Christmas time is sausage rolls and cheese twists. I know that may seem random, but my mum only ever bakes around Christmas time, and she only bakes two things: sausage rolls and cheese twists! Seeing as they're the only things she can make, we end up with them in excess, so I've grown up with this association between Christmas and sausage rolls and cheese twists!
Favourite Christmas Tradition
My family has never put presents around the tree, we always keep presents hidden from each other until Christmas Day. I like that element of surprise!

This isn't really a tag so I'm not tagging anybody, but feel free to copy and paste!
Thanks for reading!

  1. When I was little we always used to put presents under the tree but nowadays we all hide things too! I think that of my family we're just too sneaky and so none of us want to leave our presents under the tree.

  3. OMG I loved the last part! We also keep it secret. I usually go in the middle of the night and I put all I can under the tree. So, Santa is real :D

  4. I know this post is really old but when I stumble on new blogs I have a look at older post to get an idea about then! Muppets Christmas Carol is my favourite too! I love it, it's the first one I watch every December. ❤
