Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick Collection | Review & Swatches

Everybody - at least everybody remotely interested in beauty (or a scene queen phase pre-2010) - knows who Jeffree Star is. He's kind of hard to miss. I think because of his big personality a lot of people are put off his cosmetics line, but I personally am a huge fan of his liquid lipsticks. I really enjoy reading other peoples posts on their collections on certain products. I love to look at swatches so I can add a tonne to my wish list! Anyway - here's mine.

I feel like I've accumulated a healthy collection now, so I thought I'd make a post on it. I've got a handful of them so it's safe to say I think highly of them! They are incredibly pigmented and opaque with one swipe. I am in love with the formula, they are the least drying liquid lipsticks I have ever used. They are so light weight you can't even feel you've got them on. They are extremely long wearing and last all day - through meals and drinks - without flaking or smudging. The only thing I don't particularly like is the smell. It's too sweet for my taste and smells exactly like a medicine I had when I was little. It's not bad I just associate it with yucky medicine!

Jeffree had an incredible colour selection. His collection of versatile neutrals is unbeatable by any other brand, in my opinion. Hence why I have so many! Plus the cult favourite Unicorn Blood is absolutely stunning.
L-R: Unicorn Blood, Doll Parts, Leo, Androgyny, Gemini, Celebrity Skin, Mannequin

The price point is amazing, I think. Each lipstick is £16, and you get 5.4ml of product, which is really good value when you compare it to other brands. For example, Stila's liquid lipsticks are the exact same price and only contain 3ml.

What made me love them more is when Jeffree explained that his company is an 'indie brand', which basically means he's paid for everything himself. That definitely made me respect him a tonne (not that I didn't before).
I adore Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks, in summary! No matter what you think of him I'd definitely suggest trying the lipsticks, because they are really the best on the market in my opinion.
Thank you for reading!

  1. I'm so curious about these liquid lipsticks, especially the nude shades! I am searching for a long lasting, comfy nude lip. These jeferee star ones sound promising.

    1. I don't think it a shame in any way. Why would I support someone who I don't like at all? Even if the product was heaven and earth. Everyone has a right to choose what to buy and what not.

  7. I still don't know what to think about him a person. I hear all the time about his bad attitude. It makes the brand not very flattering in my eyes :/
