Product Empties

Hi all! Is it just me or do you find that when you run out of products, you, a) run out of them all at once, and b) when you're broke? I've run out of a bunch of products all within a couple of weeks of each other!

I've run out of both my eye make up remover and my face make up remover at the same time! The former being my Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Make Up Remover. It's good, but I am looking for something with a bit more oomph to take my make up off at the end of the day. I used it mainly for sharpening cat eyes (particularly on models) because, as it says in the name, it's gentle so doesn't irritate the sensitive skin around the eye. I also ran out of my L'Occitane Pivoine Sublime Make Up Remover. I swore by this for about 6 months but I must admit I did feel it was time for a change! It's very effective at removing face make up but I felt like I wanted a remover that both took my make up off but also cleansed my face.

Talking of make-up-remover-cleanser-duos, I've run out of my Philosophy Purity Cleanser, a 3 in one cleanser, toner and make up remover. I've used this product for years, I actually already had a back up ready to go for when this ran out. So, you get the picture, it's fab.  I use it in the evening because it removes my make up so well, gives my skin a deep clean and tones my skin ready for my night time skincare regimen. I love Philosophy skincare, and I have popped a little goodie from the brand into my upcoming giveaway... so keep your eyes peeled!
I ran out of one a product I absolutely swear by: Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate. My absolute worst habit is picking and squeezing at spots. I know it's gross but it's so difficult to stop myself! As a result, I often end up with scarring and persistent marks. This product is amazing for healing them! I first used it when I was left with acne scars after a bad breakout at age 18, and the scars significantly faded after just one week of use. Fast forward a couple of years and I'm on my sixth/seventh bottle! I use it religiously every night, taking 3 drops and massaging it into my skin. My skin feels smooth, hydrated and, more importantly: healed.

The final skincare product I've ran out of is the Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream. It made my Best of Beauty 2016, so, you know..it's pretty amazing. As soon as I next get paid I'm repurchasing!

Finally, I've run out of two concealers, both favourites! Firstly, I've run out of my all time favourite, absolute holy grail concealer: the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. It's amazing and I'd recommend it to anybody; it's lightweight yet full coverage, hydrating, long wearing and super easy to blend. I've also run out of it's drugstore alternative: Maybelline's Fit Me Concealer, which is also really good. Not quite as a good as the Nars concealer, but excellent quality for the price!

Of all of these, I'll be repurchasing the Maybelline concealer and the Pep start eye cream. The Philosophy Cleanser, Kiehls oil and Nars concealer, admittedly, I already had backs ups of! I'm just that obsessed. I'm trying some new make up removers, however: the Clinique Take the Day off Balm and Bobbi Brown's eye make up remover. Let me know if you'd like individual reviews on those!

  2. I love the Kiehl's Concentrate. It's fantastic. I also use the NARS concealer as well. It's the best concealer I've ever used!
