Mavala Beauty Picks & Review | + WIN A BUNDLE!

You already know Mavala for their stunning nail polishes, but did you know they also offer a huge range of nail care, as well as make up? Keep reading to find out what products I put to the test! You'll also find a chance to win a Mavala bundle worth £30 at the bottom of the post.

Make Up

Concealer
This isn't quite full coverage. If you have bad dark circles this won't cover them. I find when my under eye bags are particularly pronounced (we're talking 5 hours sleep or less) then they will still be very prominent and visible even through a full face of make up, when I'm using this concealer. That being said, I really am enjoying this concealer. It reminds me of the cult favourite Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer!

Lip Liners
I picked up two shades to test out initially and I really wish I'd got a load more. They're so affordable (if memory serves, they were around £6 each) and the quality is incredible. They're so pigmented and opaque - the colour pay off is mind blowing! Plus, the texture is so soft; you can't feel you've got an 'extra' lip product on. I love these lip liners and I don't think I'll ever need any others, I'm going to buy every colour Mavala make and be done with it!

Lipstick*

Mavala actually sent me 4 lipsticks but I totally forgot about the fourth (oops)! They're all beautiful colours that are absolutely perfect for summer! However I found the texture and the quality, to be honest, to be a little inconsistent. Brilliant Prune and Cherry Sweet are beautifully pigmented and have a really nice sheen to them, whereas Pearly Coral has a pearlescent shine to it, but it's very patchy and actually has quite a tacky look to it.

Lipsticks: Brilliant Prune, Pearly Coral, Cherry Sweet; Lip liners: Rouge Mystique, Burn Tendre

Nail Care
Mavapen Cuticle Oil*
I've only really invested in taking care of my nails, even though I've had them done religiously since I was about 15! I like using a cuticle oil because it heals dry and cracked skin as well as softens the appearance of it. I really like the idea of a pen form, it's so easy to pop into your handbag. This particular product is invisible, but soothes and hydrates dry cuticle skin instantly, I'm loving it.

Nailactan Cream*
This Nailactan cream has been an absolute god send for me! After all, why am I paying twice a month to have beautifully painted nails if the skin surrounding them is dry, cracked and peeling?  This rich cream contains amino acids, lipids and kerato-balancing vitamins to nourish and moisturise the nail plate and improve the general condition^. Plus, it smells incredible! I've been massaging it into my nail beds and cuticle every morning and night and I've noticed such a difference in how soft and hydrated my finger tips are.
I've been using it for less than a month so I think it's too early to say definitively if it's made my nails stronger, but as far as I can tell so far I'd say it has. If you're someone who takes pride in having beautiful nails and paints or has them painted regularly, I'd definitely recommend investing in a cream to keep them in good condition. Like I said, why pay to have them look nice if they're not actually strong and healthy?

Giveaway

I've also got my hands on (pun intended) four Mavala polishes from their Delicate Collection and their Correcteur Pen. I don't paint my own nails so although the polishes are stunning colours, they're wasted on me! I've put these goodies into a bundle worth £30 to give away!
