Space NK Haul & First Impressions

If you read about "What's In My Weekend Travel Bag", you'll have known that my boyfriend and I visited Bournemouth last weekend. Whilst there, I took advantage of the fact that there was a Space NK a 10 minute walk from my hotel.
This was dangerous, damage was done! I actually visited both the Friday and Saturday, although the Saturday was to return an item they had given me by mistake (I'd asked for the Kevyn Aucoin highlighter and they gave me a bronzer). I spent about £200 in store which meant I'd racked up quite a few N.Dulge points, so when I got home I placed myself another little order to spend them.

Anyway, here's my latest Space NK purchases:

Sunday Riley C.E.O Protect & Repair Moisturiser
I was a little hesitant at first because this - containing vitamin C (commonly sourced from oranges) - very strongly smells of citrus. I don't like that smell at all because it reminds me too much of soap! However vitamin C was something I'd was looking to include more of in my skincare routine so I went for it. It wasn't cheap at £60, but I must say, it's totally worth it. I'm even warming to the scent! It absorbs into the skin beautifully, leaving you looking radiant and more awake. I've also noticed my skin is generally in better condition even after just a weeks use; my skin is clearer, brighter and my skin tone is noticeably more even.

Algenist Splash Hydrating Setting Mist
I haven't actually used this yet but I love Algenist so I'm really excited to give it a whirl!

Kevyn Aucoin The Neo Highlighter in "Ibiza" & "Sahara"
L-R: Sahara, Ibiza
These babies aren't cheap at just under £50 a pop. I must say they're not as soft as I thought they'd be and are fairly rough to touch. I was a little disappointed because of that, although they look beautiful on the face, it's Kevyn Aucoin. I did not pay £48 for a powder that feels rough when I run my finger across it. Rant over, they do redeem themselves. They're super stunning on the face, you get a really nice glow with no trace of powder whatsoever. Like, you can't see it's powder. It doesn't grab onto any pores and doesn't leave a texture. I think both colours are stunning and absolutely gorgeous as highlighters. I'm very glad I got them, but in the same breath, I am a make up obsessive (literally), and if you're a casual make up wearer, you don't need such an expensive highlighter. But, they are a very nice treat!

Nars Sun Wash Diffusing Bronzer Laguna
I wanted this for the longest time! I was unsure of what shade to get because I already had the original Laguna, but I ended up getting it anyway. The formula is definitely difference, as is the shade.
L-R Sunwash Bronzer Laguna, Original Laguna
The original Laguna is much more neutral and isn't quite as pigmented, plus it has tiny, tiny flecks of glitter in it. The new Sun Wash Bronzer is totally matte and a little more warm. I love both, and I think they really compliment each other.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir
This is actually a repurchase. I ran out of my original a couple of months ago. I had the smaller bottle before and have always used it very often, but it still lasted me a good year, so I don't feel the need to buy the bigger one. The advantage of this being the smaller size is that I can pop it into my handbag, which is especially needed with this hot weather!

Literally the day after I placed the online order I got an e-mail telling me that the Space NK sale had started. Typical. So I strongly advice heading over to Space NK's website now and seeing what's reduced! I'm too scared too, I don't want to know what I could have saved!

  2. I want to try all of these things! A seriously good haul!
It's a pity those Kevyn highlights are rough to touch, it'd be frustrated spending that on a highlighter even if it is pretty on the skin!
Looking forward to your thoughts on the Algenist mist! I'm obsessed with facial sprays
