My Afterspa Picks & Review

I wash my face twice a day, everyday. Technically, three times a day. if I'm wearing make up or SPF, I double cleanse. So obviously, cleansing is a crucial part of my skincare routine, and I've been mixing it up a little lately with Afterspa products.

First of all, I have to say that I am obsessed with the packaging! It comes in a sturdy pouch with a suction cup on the back so you can stick it to your bathroom wall. This is perfect for me because there's just about room on my sink for my toothpaste!

Cleansing Puffs*
These are egg shaped pink puffs that are designed for daily facial cleansing. I must say my first impressions were that it is a little bit tough for daily use, it reminded me, at first instance, of a slightly softer version of a brillo pad! I gave it a go anyway, and once I'd dampened it and massaged cleanser into my face with it, I loved it! It's brilliant for working my cleanser into my skin. It is slightly scratchy, so you do need to use a light hand. That being said, if you run it very delicately over your face, it is very effective at slogging off dead skin cells, which left my skin looking brighter, smoother and, most noticeably, incredibly soft. Like, super soft! My skin texture noticeably improves every time I use this. It'll last me a good while too, it is recommended it is replaced every 60 days.

Facial Micro Scrubber*
Despite this being for exfoliating, this is much more gentle to touch than the cleansing puffs. This is a very soft sponge, with a cotton base and with nylon loops for exfoliating. It is very soft and sponge-y to touch. It is a great exfoliator for your face that doesn't irritate in the slightest, in my experience. It doesn't feel rough, but you can feel it gently buffing off dead skin cells. I use this roughly every other night, in place of the cleansing puffs.

Make Up Remover*
This is an incredibly soft cloth so is perfect for sensitive skin. All you need to do to to remove your make up with it - including your eye make up - is dampen it, and then remove away. It's super effective, and especially impressive when it comes to eye make up!
I remove my make up in sections (as in, forehead, left cheek, right cheek, eyes, lips) and rinse in between. The product literally washes off with water, and then the cloth is fresh again for the second round. It's supposed to last 1000 washes, too.

I've been really enjoying using these and they have definitely made a difference to my skin. I can't recommend them enough! I'm also amazed that they all have a really long life. Not only that, but they're all really affordable at £6 and under. Shop the range at Boots here. I will definitely be repurchasing when that time comes!
