Make Up I Can't Live Without

My post today is all about make up products I can't live without. My "holy grail products"; my favourites I keep going back to, the ones that I repurchase before they've even run out.

Becca Backlight Priming Filter
This is my favourite primer because it has a beautiful radiant sheen to it, without being greasy. It makes any foundation look glowy!
Chanel Perfection Lumiere
This is the foundation I just keep going back to, over and over again. It has the most gorgeous silky, dewy finish. Medium coverage - it makes my skin tone look completely even and my complexion very healthy and just generally better. I can't fault it at all.

Tarte Shape Tape
This is my favourite concealer of all time, it is full full coverage. It blends like a dream and lasts all day, with minimal creasing and a perfect, natural looking demi-matte finish.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
I love this concealer for highlighting, when my under eye area or cheek bones are looking a little dull. This has an almost light reflecting quality, I love it so much.
Chanel Poudre Universalle
This powder is the best I've ever used. It doesn't leave a colour cast on my skin tone, it doesn't sink into fine lines, and keeps my face looking smooth and velvet-like all day long.

Nars Orgasm Blush
I'll admit this blush doesn't look all that in the pan; it's a sickly pink with gold shimmer reflects in it. But it's always the one I go to. When I do model's make up, I often end up layering blush to get the effect I want. It never goes right until I pop a bit of Orgasm on.
Bobbi Brown Bronzer Golden Light
I adore this product, it's a matte, warm-neutral toned bronzer that is so complimentary to my skin tone. It's soft to touch and blends beautifully, without skipping or becoming patchy. It is very pigmented without being too harsh and looking clown-like.

Anastasia Cream Contour Kit
I have lots of contour kits but this one I just keep returning to. The creams are very pigmented, easy to blend and wear all day.
Mac In The Flesh Palette
I chose to include this palette because I thought to myself, if I could only have one palette, which would it be? And it would be this one. It has a beautiful range of neutrals, plus a couple of shimmers. Can't go wrong with it.

Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
This is my favourite liquid eyeliner. Most liquid liners end up making my lashes clumpy where the product gets stuck in them, but because the felt tip is so fine on this product, it doesn't, and it's very easy to apply precisely. It's also completely opaque, dries fast and to a completely matte finish. It doesn't bleed or fade at all, either.

Nars Eye Paint Black Valley
I also love a gel liner, and I use a Nars Eye Paint in the shade Black Valley. Similarly to Kat von D's, this is matte, opaque, fast drying and long wearing. Another product you just can't go wrong with it.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Champagne Pop
I used to adore Jaclyn Hill and, although I'm not as much a fan of her content as I was a few years ago, this is still the highlighter I reach for all the time. It's so universal, compliments so many skin tones, but can also be used with a warm or cool toned look.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks
I asked myself if I could only have one make of lipstick, what would it be? It'd have to be Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lippies.  Soft, velvet-y matte, non-drying, long wearing, and a stunning shade range.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
I've used lots of setting sprays but this one I keep going back to because it really makes your make up long wearing. Your foundation would literally be able to do an All Nighter with this stuff. It's also great at taking away any excess powder and just making sure everything sits right.

Tools:

Beauty Blender
(not photographed because none of them were clean lol)
I apply my foundation and concealer with a beauty blender and I always find that it's the best to get an even, well blended, un-cakey finish.

Chanel Brush #2
This is a fat angled brush, and it is amazing for blending out powder contour (or applying bronzer, but I have a brush even better at that). Whenever contour or bronzer is looking a little sloppy, or like it could be a little more blended - I just pick up this brush and the problem is fixed. This is a game changer brush!

Bobbi Brown Bronzer Brush
This is the perfect brush for creating a flawlessly blended, naturally sun kissed bronzed look. It's just perfect. I don't know what about it makes bronzing so effortless, but you do end up with an almost blurred effect.

Bobbi Brown Powder Brush
This is a dome shaped powder brush with super soft bristles. I love the way it applies powder - it's so even! There's something about it that's just so delicate. I know at face value, a powder brush is just a powder brush, right? But this one really is special!

  1. Where did you pick up the Shape Tape from? I don't particularly want to order from the US and get charged customs and QVC only sells it with a sponge that I don't want!

Champagne Pop is on my to buy list but I am slightly reluctant to buy it because I worry it won't look right on my pale ass skin!

  8. Chanel Poudre Universalle has been on my wish list for a long time - a product that leaves a lovely finish on sensitive skin is notoriously hard to find.

  29. Ahh I love reading these kind of posts. I find that I always gravitate towards the same sort of products. Shape Tape hasn't lived up to the hype for me, way too heavy and drying and the price tag ouuuch-
I hear that the Colourpop concealer is supposed to be a good dupe. Really want to try the Tilbury lipsticks, thinking it's gonna be a christmas treat from me to me.
