Three From Estee Lauder

I wrote my first "Three From" post a couple of months ago now, and I have to say I really enjoy reflecting on my favourite brands and thinking, if I could only have three products from this brand, which would I choose? For today's post, I've looked at my little collection of products from the iconic brand Estee Lauder.
This is probably the best known product from Estee Lauder, it has - after all - been around since the 80s. Not only that, but, if I understand correctly, it was the first serum and paved the way for serums being a staple in any skincare regimen (I can't remember where I heard this - correct me if I'm wrong!).
This is technically an anti-ageing serum, but, as a 21 year old, I still thoroughly enjoy it and reap the benefits of it. For me, it's like an 'all rounder'. It definitely calms down skin irritations, or, at the very least, I know it will never exacerbate any problems. I find it intensely hydrating thanks to the serum being packed with hyaluronic acid, and my skin is always so much softer and noticeably smoother. I find this is incredible in particular at tackling rough texture.
I also struggle with pigmentation and this, of course being a "repair" product, really helps to calm it down and help my skin repair itself.  As well as helping to fade pigmentation from spots of days-gone-by, my skin tone is also generally more even. Actually, my complexion overall is brighter and more healthy looking. If you're someone who doesn't really know where to start with skincare, but at the same time you're not a complete novice and you have had a routine of some description in place for a while, this is a really good place to start. I just don't think you can go wrong with it, you know? It ticks all the boxes.

Ah, Double Wear - a cult favourite by all means. This foundation lasts all day, through any activities, any weather - you're good to go. I love the coverage of this, it's one of my go-tos when I have a pimple I really want covered! It's medium-full, but totally buildable to really full coverage whilst still being breathable and lightweight. I love the way it looks on, my skin looks like porcelain! It just sits on the face beautifully. It has a demi-matte finish which personally is my favourite. There's still a hint of dewiness there but it's not overpowering. Another Lauder product that you just can't go wrong with.

For this post, I've selected my staple nudes - the nude shades I always reach for - Intense Nude and Covetous Nude. I'd say they're matte finish with a hint of satin, but the Colour Envy range comes in a variety of finishes.
Top to bottom: Intense Nude, Covetous Nude
When it comes down to it, these are up there on ultimate favourite lipstick list. I only have a handful because they're quite pricey at £26, but I love everything about them. I'm even obsessed with the shape of the actual lipstick, it just hugs my lips perfectly.
I love the texture, they're so soft, so comfortable and uber light weight. They have an almost cushion-y feel to them. The pigmentation is incredible, there's so much colour pay off, with only one application they're completely opaque. If you're looking to treat yourself to a high end lipstick, head to your nearest Estee Lauder counter, you won't regret it.

  4. My grandmother has always been on at me to buy 'better makeup' such as Estee Lauder and as much as I want to, I can't afford it! But when I can, I think the foundation and a nice lipstick for special occasions may be in order.
