Same eye make up, two eye colours

I love make up; I love playing with colour - I really do! I love to create different looks with eyeshadow, blush and a bit of lipstick. But, for a bit of change of pace, I've collaborated with Feel Good Contacts to try changing my eye colour.

By way of somewhat of an experiment, I created this very feminine, wearable lilac eye look and tested what it looked like on two different eye colours, changing my natural blue eyes to brown with my Air Optix Colors contact lenses
I adore the look I created, the pastel tones are very spring appropriate! I used:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion | Smashbox Matte Exposure Palette | Becca Ocean Jewels Palette | Eyeko Liquid Eyeliner (review here) | Smith & Cult Lash Dance Mascara*

I really enjoy using contact lenses to change my appearance, it's good fun and definitely satisfies my curiosity about what I'd look like with a different eye colour. If you fancy giving it a go, you can browse Feel Good Contact's range of contact lenses here, and if you order by the end of March you can get 10% off your first order using the code LOVEFG03
This isn't the first time I've used contact lenses, but I'm no expert, either. These were very user friendly; they were easy to put in, and comfortable to wear. If the first time you try contact lenses you can't quite get it right on the first attempt, don't be disheartened, it definitely is a practice thing, but once you've got the knack for it, you've got it. Just as a little tip, I personally find it easier to dampen the lenses first - not only does this give them a bit of lubricant for when they go in your eye, but it also means they grab onto to the tip of my finger. So, I use my index finger to pick up the lens, and slot it into my eye. The easiest way, I find, is to slot it right into the lower tear duct, then flatten it against my eyeball as I lift my upper eyelid, then blink it into place. Don't be frightened if the sensation is odd at first, it will feel strange because, obviously, you're putting something unnatural into your eye, but it passes in seconds.
So, what eye colour do you think the lilac eyeshadow looks best with, brown or blue?

  1. This particular look, I think it looks better on your blue eyes... I want to try some contacts just to see what I would look like with any eye color other than brown, but I'm so scared when it comes to my eyes... nothing can touch them haha

  2. I'm too scared to go near my eyeballs to use these, but I love how the makeup compliments both eye shades! :) Tania Michele xx
