Beauty Favourites under £10: Part 3

As much as I love a luxury beauty product, I've always got my eyes peeled for the very best beauty bargains. Keep reading if you want to find out my affordable picks, in this third instalment of beauty favourites under £10:

BeautyPie Pro Eyeshadow Palette, £8.52*
I'm sure you've heard of Beauty Pie, but if you haven't, let me fill you in: it's a club (you can talk about it, it's fine) that gives you access to beauty products at ultra low factory prices. Beauty Pie uses the same lab as many of our favourite high end brands (including, so I hear, Charlotte Tilbury) so can create nearly identical products. Beauty Pie is different in that it cuts out all the middle men: packaging isn't super fancy, no extravagant marketing, no physical shops with steep running costs, and no retailer mark up. So you get the product basically as soon as it comes out the factory doors, straight to you without all the additional costs. Because Beauty Pie products are such accurate dupes for their luxury sisters (twin sister, in some cases), you'll still be getting the crème de la crème in beauty - just at a better price. I chose to talk specifically about the Pro Eyeshadow Palette because I think the colours are just beautiful: the muted pastel pink and mauves, neutral shades and that statement, rich navy blue are so perfect for winter. The quality is superb too. The powders are incredibly finely milled, creamy and soft; the pigment is so smooth and applies like a dream. Highly recommend.

Simple Micellar Facial Gel Wash, £4.95
I feel as though Simple Skincare is a really overlooked brand. This beauty is a winning formula for me: fragrance free, a liquid cleanser with a nice, watery consistency, non-foaming and rinses off easily. It does what it says on the tin, really. It's very hydrating and refreshing. I love it.
(p.s I've just realised I didn't get a picture of the product. I had it out when I was shooting for this blog post, too. I'm losing it, I swear)
Love Jamila Easy on the Eye Avocado Eye Cream, £9*
This eye cream is my current obsession. Let me tell you why! The ingredients are brilliant, for example, it contains hyaluronic acid, green tea, avocado oil (duh), shea butter, oat, argan oil, apricot kernel oil... all fabulous hydrators and emollients. You know what it doesn't have? Fragrance. Amazing. Surprisingly, it's quite hard to find an eye cream without fragrance (although not actually that surprising. Consumers are obsessed with the smell of things they put on their face..) even though the skin around the eyes is the most delicate. In my opinion, this is the perfect eye cream.

Love Jamila Sweet Talk Lip Scrub, £9
Love Jamila also have as sugar lip scrub. A straightforward, sugar-in-essential oils lip scrub, that buffs away dry, cracked skin from the lips. I don't know about you but my lips get so rough and flaky this time of year, so trust me when I say I need this!
Corpore Sanctum The Basex Collagen Booster Essence, £9.99*
Korean brand Corpore Sanctum has some excellent affordable products, including this Collagen Booster Essence. If your skin needs a hydration boost, drench it with a boost of hyaluronic acid with this lightweight, watery essence. It also contains glycerin, a powerful humectant which traps moisture in the skin. (Although a word of warning: it does contain essential oils, keep that in mind if you have an issue with them.)

Corpore Sanctum The Basex Renew Night Serum, £7.99
My personal favourite from The Basex range is this night serum. It has an impressively minimalist ingredients list with only 7 items. None of which, by the way, are perfuming ingredients. Hooray! (Some of the ingredients can essentially be fragrance, depending on the concentration and formulation. It's hard to tell, but I haven't had a problem with it, and it doesn't smell of anything). The star ingredient is Oleic acid, a stable fatty acid which works to soften skin and improve texture. This is boosted by other emollients like sunflower oil and apricot kernel oil. I've really been enjoying this so far!

Pixi Glow Glycolic Boost Sheet Mask, £10 for 3*
Working out at being less than £4 each, Pixi's sheet masks are a must-have for a quick fix, brighting boost. They're like a super shot of their best selling glow tonic! They contain glycolic acid - an AHA that exfoliates the 'top layer' of skin for a brighter appearance. If you're in a pinch and need bright skin quickly, sheet masks are a nice way to achieve that.
