March Favourites

Here's the run down on the products I've been loving this month!

Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara
I originally received this in a sample size and fell in love with it and instantly bought a full size before even using the entirety of the sample! This is a really amazing mascara that gives your lashes  noticeably extra volume and length. I've had this mascara for quite a while, but I've rediscovered and re-fallen in love with it this month!

MUG Contour Pan "Break Up"
I bought myself a selection of the MUG contour pans way back when in my BeautyBay haul when they first came out, and this shade is definitely my favourite.  I find I've been using this to contour practically every single day, I'm so in love with this shade! It's a cool tone brown that creates a very natural looking defined hollow of my cheek bones. It's perfect for my pale complexion, it doesn't look muddy, and it blends incredibly smoothly.

Zoeva 129 Luxe Fan Brush
I've recently taken to applying my blush with a fan brush. It applies the colour much softer, so you get a really subtle, feminine wash of colour that looks really natural. This was a little tip I picked up from Wayne Goss!

MAC 170 Brush
This little beauty made it's first appearance in my first What's New on my Vanity post, and I can tell you, even in such a short time, this has become my holy grail foundation brush. The bristles are perfect: firm but soft and flexible, and blends liquid make-up impeccably and with very limited visible brush lines. I've also noticed it doesn't cling onto to much product, despite using it to apply foundation every day for the best part of this month, it's quite clean. I feel like this means you're also getting less product wastage when it comes to your foundation!

Benefit Dandelion Dew
I've already reviewed this so I won't say too much, except that I really do love this. It's such a perfect blush shade and a little bit goes such a long way. As I grow to love the 'dewy finish' more and more, I'm falling more in love with this product. It's perfect for creating that natural, youthful and glowing look. Check out the full review with swatches here.

YSL Neutralizer in Apricot/Bisque
I'm so sorry I'm mentioning something else I've already mentioned this month! But what can I say? The products I've tried and tested recently have hit the mark! I reviewed all three YSL Neutralizers here, but the shade Apricot/Bisque has been most useful to me. It's impressively effective at correcting dark circles and it's so easy to wear on it's own, it's not like some colour correctors that are basically just concealers - covering the issue - it does actually counter balance it. When I'm not really in the mood for wearing a full face of make-up, I've been reaching for Apricot/Bisque, using it in combination of a wash of lipgloss and mascara, and I'm done. It's that natural looking that you can wear it totally alone. I am seriously loving how useful this product is.

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
I'm so glad I re-discovered this primer! I love the feel of it on my skin, it transforms my bare skin into a perfect silky base for my make-up. It's oil free, so it doesn't feel greasy at all and is super light weight. It does the job, noticeably reducing the appearance of pores and texture (which are big problems for me) whilst not physically feeling or looking like I've added another 'layer'. It's definitely expensive at nearly £26, but I honestly believe it's worth it.

MAC Prep + Prime Powder
I've been using this to bake, which I've been doing very often this month. Because I use so much powder when I bake, I wanted to try to find a product that's on the more affordable end of the spectrum. All of the drugstore ones I tried just did not work for me when it came to baking: I had one occasion where, when wet, the powder turned green, another where I basically ended up applying porridge to my face! So I opted for high end, and this is one of the most affordable at £20. It's really ideal for baking, it's nice and finely milled so it applies really great.
