May Favourites

I hope everyones May was enjoyable! As usual, here's my break down of my favourite beauty products for the month.

MAC 109 Brush
This has fast become my go-to brush for contouring. I much prefer this rounded fluffy brush to contour as opposed to sharper, angled brushes. With the MAC 109, it's a piece of cake to really get into the hollows of my cheek bones. Because it's lovely and fluffy it blends out powder products like a dream and creates a well chiselled yet natural looking finish.

Tom Ford Revolve Around Me
I "accidentally" splurged on more than I like to admit lipsticks from Tom Ford in May, and my favourite is definitely Revolve Around Me. First of all, I am in love with the colour. It's the perfect pinky feminine nude. Secondly, the formula. IT'S. SO. BEAUTIFUL. It's somewhere between sheer and opaque, and right in the middle of satin and sheen, which makes it buildable too! It's stunning and so perfect for Spring/Summer. It's super light weight on the lips and feels nice and smooth and moisturising.

I first spotted this lip gloss back when I was out shopping, which I shared in this post. I've been loving it recently, it's such a beautiful shade! It's a pale pink and has a stunning high shine finish without being sticky. The colour is super appropriate for spring time!

L-R: Estee Lauder Potent Petal, Tom Ford Revolve Around Me
In April, I reviewed this product (here) and lo and behold, it's one of my favourites come May. Rightly so, too. I won't go into too much detail because I've already reviewed it, but I'll reiterate that it's very effective at separating my lashes and helping them stay that way, helps to prevent mascara clumping and makes it last longer.  Highly recommend!

I've used this foundation for a while now and I'd always found that it only worked for me when my skin was clear (I used to have mild acne), and now that my skin has cleared up a tonne I've started reaching for this more and more, and I've noticed myself wearing it a lot especially this month. It's such a stunning finish and I love the coverage! I highly recommend this foundation - however perhaps avoid if your skin is spot prone.
Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Barcelona Beach
Although I am drawn to warm tones, cool tones undeniably suit me better. Barcelona Beach is the cool tone brown of dreams! I love it because, not only does it really suit my eye colour and skin colour, but it's good for so much! I use it as a transition shade for if I'm doing a really dark, dramatic smokey eye; I use it to add dimension to more neutral looks, or just a sheer wash of it on it's own is good too!

Glossy eyelids are on trend and Charlotte Tilbury's eyeshadows are perfect for this look. Norma Jean is a pale champagne gold, and my favourite way to apply it is to blend it out with a brush with fluffy yet firm bristles so you get a glossy finish, glowy lid which is so summer appropriate. It's perfect for a no make-up, make-up look, making you look sun kissed and glowing!

I was introduced to this powder in the MAC All The Right Angles Contour Palette (review here) and I have fallen in love. It's an amazing highlighting powder! It has just a hint of shimmer in it, which makes it perfect for creating a subtle highlight under my eyes, as well as cutting under where I've contoured my cheek bones for a real sculpted look. I love the contour shade and the cream colour base in the contour palette so highly, highly recommend it. It's a wonderful option for contouring if you're fair skinned! You can also buy it individually in a pro refill pan (which I will definitely be doing once I've used it all up in the palette!)
