June Favourites

I can't believe it's June already, it doesn't feel real! It certainly doesn't feel like summer time here in England, most days have been overcast but humid.  Either way, here are my June favourites.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Sun Dipped
I'm still a little perplexed at how the purple tones are a highlight, but the two lighter shades are beyond stunning! I love the way it looks on my skin. I really like the ABH Glow Kits in general, I think in "the year of the glow" a series of palettes dedicated just to highlighters is perfect! Trust the mother-daughter duo to always be ahead of the game.

Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo
I recently reviewed this but I had to include it in my favourites also because I can't stress enough how much I've fallen in love with this product! If you're going to buy a new lip product/s this summer, make it the Rouge Coco Stylo! The high shine finish is so on trend, the colour range is to-die-for and it's so comfortable it really is a pleasure to wear. I actually bought quite a few whilst I was in France, but I'm saving my French beauty haul is for another day!

Tarte Lippie Lingerie Matte Tint Whisper
I raved about Tarte's matte tints in a recent review, and by far my favourite shade has to be Whisper. I've been wearing it so often! It's the perfect spring-summer pinky-nude. It's neutral enough to go with any make up look, but has enough pink in it to be truly girly, very season appropriate shade.

Chanel Les Beiges NO.10
I recently mentioned that this is one of my "holy grail" beauty products. Although this powder is my go-to powder, I've been really into the buffing technique recently which this product is perfect for! Because I've been buffing pretty much every day I've worn make up this month, I thought I'd include it in my monthly favourites!

Stila Liquid Lipstick Bacca
In an attempt to break away from my comfort zone of a nude lip, I've been opting for Stila's Bacca. It's a really pretty, bright but super wearable fuchsia shade. I love it!

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel
Summer beauty trends are all about looking glowy and natural, and Chanel's Soleil Tan de Chanel cream bronzer creates that flawlessly. The shade is absolute perfection, I buff it practically all over my face for a sun kissed glow and it's so effective, and looks so fresh and healthy. And it blends like a dream come true!

Estee Edit Flash Illuminator Spot Light
When I initially reviewed this (here), I wasn't blown away because I was  only using it as an illuminating primer. However, I've recently been cream contouring underneath my foundation, and I find applying a thin layer of this in areas I want highlighted emphasises any highlighting products you apply over the top. Plus, it overall makes the contour look a lot sharper, as well as your skin more luminous! It also applies superbly as a highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones (over foundation) using a beauty blender for a dewy look. I'm definitely going to be picking up another shade (or two!)

Nars Albatross
Remember when this was on my wish list for my holiday splurging spree? I bought it a week before I went! What can I say? I'm weak, I caved. But Nars is always worth it. This is such a beautiful highlighter and I literally say this every time I talk about a Nars product, but I swear they use some kind of black magic! How can a product that is white in the pan be gold when applied?! Either way, it's so stunning and is so flattering on my pale skin. It's incredibly finely milled, so don't have any excess powder or that texture grabbing quality that very shimmery highlighters do, so this is a really great option if prominent skin texture is an issue for you.

What were you loving in June? My next post is going to be my French beauty haul (I went HARD. Trust me) and then shortly after there'll be a giveaway. So keep your eyes pealed!

  1. Gorgeous June favourites! I've heard such great things about the Stila liquid lipsticks, I am yet to find a drugstore liquid lipstick that is actually amazing. The Anastacia Glow kit is stunning, but true that I'm not sure I could use all the shades included! Looking forward to reading your French beauty haul :) xx
