July Favourites

I'm sat here refusing to believe it's August right now. Literally what even happened in June and July?

Marc Jacobs Omega Bronzer
I first mentioned this when I bought it as part of my French Beauty Haul, and I've been going to it pretty much every day since then. It's so good! It's long wearing, and it's the perfect shade for my skin tone. It's a good medium tone so I'm able to use it for both bronzing and contouring.

Another MJ product I've been loving is their concealer. It's a little more sheer than popular 'heavy duty' concealers (e.g Urban Decay, Make Up For Ever) but it's still covers everything, and is remarkably light weight. What I love about it though, is it feels so hydrating! There's just something about the formula that makes it feel so good on the skin, and especially soothing on the under eyes. I'd highly recommend this if you're looking for a new concealer!

This was another competition win! I purchased the two lighter shades myself (review here) and, understandably, skipped over the shades designed for darker skin tones because I'm practically the colour of milk. However, I really like it. The blush shades are actually beautiful even on my skin, and I love, love, love the eyeshadows. All of the products are very highly pigmented, which I love. It's uncommon you find such high quality products in a palette, so I'm really impressed.

Blender Cleanser
I originally got this a couple of years back in a Beauty Blender gift set and basically just forgot about it because I clean my sponges in the same way I would my brushes. But this stuff is so good for the blenders! It's got a pump which makes it super easy to get the cleanser out without mess and fuss (when cleaning my brushes I get shampoo everywhere...), just one small pump onto the blender, rinse while giving it a few squeezes and it literally looks brand new in less than 5 minutes!

Becca Slimlight Champagne Pop
This little gem in the Becca X Jaclyn Hill collection was released after the initial launch (post here), and the slimlights are - as the name suggests - slim highlighter pens designed for highlighting the more delicate areas of the face: inner corner of your eye, brow bone, cupids bow etc. They're very creamy and super easy to blend, and my favourite way to wear this is in the inner corner of my eye. When I'm wearing a smokey eye, I like to take it right up into the outer crease for a gradated highlight and it looks so pretty! Especially Champagne Pop, it's very complimentary.

Estee Edit Flash Illuminator Morning Light
Way back in April I talked about what I got from the Estee Edit line, and I was a little unsure about the Flash Illuminator for a while, then I fell in love with it and it made it into last months faves! The shade Morning Light is a really beautiful pale gold, and I will definitely be buying some more shades. I only wish the line would offer more highlighter shades of this product for fairer skin! I truly love this product, it's such a beautiful highlight. I pick it up on a damp beauty blender and press it onto my cheek bones and it looks absolutely stunning. I may even go as far as to suggest I'm getting close to favouring this over 'holy grail' status powder highlighters in my stash...

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick American Doll
I treated myself to a new red lippy for the first time in a long time, and I opted for American Doll by Anastasia. When I bought this I must admit I was thinking "do I really need this when I've got 10 more identical?" I was wrong; I do not have any identical. This is such a stunning shade and is a true, classic blue undertone red that is completely unparalleled by others in my collection. It has a lot more blue in it so it makes my teeth looks noticeably whiter and it just screams Hollywood. If you're only going to have one staple red lipstick, make it this one!
I bought this as part of my French beauty haul and I have been loving it ever since. It has just that little extra colour tint to it than my other brow gels that makes this one my favourite. It makes filling in my brows just that bit easier. It also has the perfect consistency: it isn't sticky, it's almost watery without being runny somehow. It sets my brows all day without them feeling like they've gone tacky. Did somebody say holy grail?

MAC Pigment Tan
Another French beauty haul buy: MAC's pigment in Tan. I actually put it in a drawer and half forgot about it (oops!), I kept meaning to wear it with a more dramatic look because in the packaging it looks like a very metallic pink, but I put it on and it was - as I knew when I bought it - a beautiful golden bronze. I forgot the reason I wanted it so badly! It's a really stunning shade - so summery, too.

Ciate Triple Shot Mascara
This mascara doesn't do a lot for thickness, no. What it does do is lengthen and curl, to an amazing extent. Like, seriously, it's impressive. I love using this as a top coat to really give my lashes that final  touching-the-eyebrow- oomph. You know what I mean? Plus, the wand is super duper tiny so it's perfect for really giving the lower lashes a wiggle.

That's all for July! What were your favourites from last month?
