L'Occitane Sublime Perfecting Range REVIEW

I have been loyal to the moisturiser and serum from L'Occitane's Sublime Perfecting range for nearly two years now, and fairly recently L'Occitane added new products to the range. Seeing as how much I loved the original creams I couldn't wait to give them a try! I bought them when they first came out so I've had plenty of time to form an opinion, so here's what I think!

It goes without saying that I'm in love with the moisturiser and serum. I love the Sublime Perfecting Cream moisturiser for so many reasons. It makes my skin so soft and definitely has blurring qualities. It's really hydrating without being greasy; it just feels so smooth and luxurious. I've repurchased it about 5 times now, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. In fact, I love it so much I made sure I bought a brand new travel size just to take with my on holiday! I use the Sublime Perfecting Essence serum in conjunction with the moisturiser too. For me, it's an extra boost of hydration and is ultra smoothing, so it's a perfect skincare base for my make up.

Another Sublime Perfecting skincare staple for me is the Perfecting Mist. It's a brilliant multi purpose tool, it's very refreshing (so great for the summer time!) and it has toning, hydrating and perfecting properties so it's great both under and over makeup. I can't say that it's really mind blowing at the things it claims to do, but it's just a nice product that's great extra step in your makeup routine on warm days, nice to throw in your handbag, etc.

I was really excited when I saw that L'Occitane had released a toner in their sublime perfecting range, because I was actually in the market for a new toner when it was launched. I'd just finished a ridiculously over priced Kiehls toner, so when I went to purchase the Sublime Perfecting Toner it was a pleasant surprise to be more than half the price of my old one at just £15! The smell is very sweet and is reminiscent of a drink I used to have when I was little, does anybody else remember Squeezits?! It smells just like those! I like this toner, it does what it says. It's a final cleansing step and it's very refreshing. My skin always looks that extra bit brighter after using this.

I love, love, love the Sublime CC Skin Tone Perfecting Cream. I'm a big fan of targeted colour correcting (check out this review and this review) and would generally opt for using this method rather than an all over CC cream, but I am loving this one. My biggest pet peeve about my skin is that the tone is very uneven, it's not terribly dramatic, but I find it annoying. This neutralises all the yellow undertone, various dark patches and splotches of redness, whilst - doing what targeted colour correcting can't do: leaving a stunning- almost shimmery - luminescence. This CC cream has stunning light reflecting qualities, so it's beautiful under make up to create a glow-from-within look. It also comes in a couple of different shades so it caters to different skin tones, too.

I can't believe I went so long without the 2-in-1 Perfecting Scrub in my life before it was launched. To sum it up in one word: amazing. I'm not even kidding! I don't even know where to start. It's unlike other exfoliating cleansers in the sense that it's not thick, it's not creamy, it's got a thin - almost oily - gel like texture. You can use it as a quick exfoliating wash or apply it dry and leave it on for a few minutes for a more heavy duty exfoliating mask. I love this versatility aspect. It feels good, healthy and hydrating on the skin. Even from the first use, my skin was dramatically softer, like baby skin! And the feeling lasts, it's not just a brief, 2 hour after effect. I've never had such an experience with any exfoliator where I see my skin refreshed so instantly. It literally instantly renews and refreshes my skin. My skin is so much clearer and brighter.  You need this in your life, it's so good!

Finally, the Perfecting Makeup Remover. Similarly to the perfecting scrub, it has an odd texture: it's somewhere between a gel and an oil. It's not so good on eye makeup, I'll admit, but it removes a full layer of concealer and foundation with one swipe, which is really impressive and by far beats the makeup wipes I'd been loyal to for years beforehand. I like that it offers skin boosting qualities too, and I really feel like my skin is left with a subtle radiance after taking my makeup off using this. I'm positive I'll be using it for many years to come.
