September Favourites

I can't even fathom how it's already October. Where did the whole year go, let alone September? I hate how time seems to speed up as you get older. I won't get into that deep and meaningful business though, this is a beauty blog!  I have a tonne of beauty favourites from September!:
Nars Eye Paint Iskandar
The eye paint in Black Valley is one of my holy grail products, and I've recently been loving Iskandar. It's a really lovely deep tone of gold for Autumn, it's not ultra bright and glitzy, it's darker and understated. I almost want to say a dirty gold, but I feel like that has bad connotations! It's a beautiful shade, though.
Hourglass Vanish Seamless Foundation Stick
I know that I only recently raved about this foundation in this post, but I really do love it and I had to mention it in my monthly favourites! I'll surmise what I said in that post: this foundation is absolutely flawless. It applies smoothly, with a beautiful finish and coverage.

Fusion Beauty Contouring and Sculpting Blush
I recently discovered Fusion Beauty and have fallen in love with the blushes! I've got the shades Haute, Gossip and Cherub. All three are such pretty, girly shades of pink. The consistency is so buttery, and they apply and blend dreamily. They're super smooth. I highly, highly recommend these! Also, as a side note, I love the packaging. The little silver pots are so adorable!

The Creme Shop sponges
I see a lot of people looking for Beauty Blender "dupes" and I wanted in on the search for more affordable beauty sponges. However, this is not a dupe for the beauty blender, they're different. They're firmer and bigger, so they're much easier to get a grip on. They're bouncier, and they soak up less excess product than Beauty Blenders do, which I like. I paid less than £5 each for them, so they're brilliant for the price. I just love how fat they are, it makes blending easier.

Urban Decay Razor Sharp Eyeliner Buff
If you saw my fairly recent post what's new from Urban Decay, you'll know I picked up a healthy handful of colourful eyeliners from their new Razor Sharp range. One that stood out to me is definitely the shade Buff, which is white. I am currently in love with with doing a double winged liner, with one black and the other white. It's such a cool look, and surprisingly wearable.
(I look so boss eyed in that picture, hahahahahaha)

Marc Jacobs Lipstick Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
During your birthday month you get a free gift from Sephora. I chose a mini Marc Jacobs gift set, which included the lipstick Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. It's such a pretty mauve shade! It's a great neutral shade for Autumn if you prefer to steer further away from deeper colours like berry tones or purples (for my Autumn lipstick recommendations, see this post).

MUFE Lipstick #29
This was a lucky TK Maxx find. I usually only find obvious outlet products; products and colours that are cheap because nobody wanted them. So I was surprised to come across this beautiful MUFE lipstick (in pristine condition!), in a beautiful mauve shade that's totally on trend for the season. This is the first MUFE lipstick I've ever tried and I'm definitely getting more, I love the formula. It's so creamy and smooth, pigmented and long lasting.

MUFE Artist Plexi Gloss #104
I've also been loving a gloss by MUFE, in the shade 104. It's a peach pink with very warm - slightly orange-y - undertone, so it's almost like a peachy burnt orange. Worst description of a colour ever, I know. But it's gorgeous. For a gloss, you get a huge colour pay off. And, it's not sticky at all and lasts a really long time!

Kat Von D Lock It Foundation
Make up junkies will know that Kat Von D makeup has recently become available in the UK, having been launched in Debenhams. I've been shopping her line in the US via Sephora for quite a while, and my first UK purchase was the Lock It Foundation. I am obsessed! It's light weight, it full coverage, it has a beautiful matte finish and lasts all day.  It ticks all the boxes, basically. I'd highly recommend it!
Burts Bees Intense Hydration Cleanser
This was a product I actually won, and I've started to use it as my night time cleanser. I love it! It smells divine, and it feels so soft, and makes my skin feel soft too! It has very fine micro beads in it to very gently exfoliate. It's a very gentle cleanser in general, being 99% natural, but it removes makeup really well, especially eye makeup. I love the way it makes my face feel ultra hydrated. I would definitely suggest this to those with sensitive and/or dry skin.

Urban Decay Naked 2
The Urban Decay Naked 2 palette is nothing new, I know, but as the beauty trends get a little darker in Fall, I've found myself reaching for this palette a tonne. I forgot how much I love it, especially the shade Verve.

Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops
You've heard the hype about these. They're worth it. I got the shades Celestial, Sunlight, Moonlight and Sunkissed and I love all of them! All three highlight shades are so stunning, and Sunkissed makes for an absolutely beautiful, naturally looking bronze. I'd highly recommend it for us pale skinned ladies! They apply over makeup really well and don't make a cakey layer. I love applying them liberally using a beauty blender. The same can be said for using it underneath as an illumating primer for a glow-from-within look. These are 110% worth the hype and you need them in your life, trust me.
