Another month has passed, which means it's that time again: monthly favourites.
Royal and Langnickel S.I.L.K Fantast Pro Eye Kit (#BCFE-SET4)
I was introduced to Royal and Langnickel brushes about a year ago, and picked up this set this month and I've been absolutely loving it. I'm pretty sure that Royal and Langnickel (correct me if I'm wrong) work like Morphe and Crown Brush, in that they buy generic brushes and just add their own branding (that's not a criticism, by the way). R&L is similar, but it's like another step up quality wise. The set I got contains a flat concealer brush, which is nice and small so I have been using it to apply concealer around my brow area; it contains a fan brush which I have been using to highlight smaller areas of my face such as the cupids bow and brow bone; an all over shadow brush and smudger brush. This is a really great set that I've been finding really useful and would recommend to anybody.

Kat von D Liquid Lipstick Lolita II
This is a rosy terracotta shade and it's incredibly flattering. I find these kinds of shades, rather than just brown or just pink, suit me a lot better. Because of the rosy undertones in this, I think it's a really floral shade so I've been loving it for spring.

Make Up Forever Lipstick M1 Matte Flesh
This was a cheeky little TK Maxx find! It was just £5 and it's a stunning pinky nude shade, perfect for Spring! I love MUFE's matte lipstick formula, it's so smooth and comfortable.
This first made an appearance on my blog in my Bobbi Brown Haul, and I've since been literally obsessed with the Cheek Glow palettes, which are a cream highlight/blush duo. I love the formula of the creams, they're so smooth and easy to blend; they don't drag or grab to skin texture at all, and layer really well over and under other products. This month I've been particularly loving Bare and Desert Rose, I think the muted pale pink blush is very spring appropriate.

Batiste Dry Shampoo (Blush)
I forgot how amazing this stuff is. I went through a phase where I was washing my hair daily which just isn't healthy, but I'm so glad I jumped back on board the dry shampoo bandwagon.
Betty Hula Rum and Black Current Body Moisturiser
The fragrance of this product has absolutely captivated me. It is so divine. Aside from that, it has a really nice formula. It is not thin but it's not thick, rather it feels almost whipped - if that makes any sense. It sinks into the skin really nicely and leaves it feeling soft and soothed, especially after shaving.

Soap and Glory Extreme Plump Lipgloss
This lipgloss is incredible! It makes a huge different in how plump my lips look - they're not kidding about "extreme"! The plumpness also lasts a good couple of hours. It does tingle - as you'd expect - but not as much as I initially anticipated. I love this!
Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara
Another S&G product: the mascara. The formula is very thin and it doesn't clump up in the slightest. This mascara does not create a dramatic effect, rather achieves natural looking, fluttery lashes. This isn't a mascara I'd opt for if I wanted to go full glam, but it's great for feminine, very natural looking spring time appropriate make up. It's also fab on the lower lashes!

Vichy Ideal Soleil Velvety Cream SPF 50
Now that the sun's out, Ive started to use SPF 50. I hate the smell of typical sunscreens and the way they feel on my face, so I've opted for Vichy Ideal Soleil Velvety Cream. It's a really nice feeling cream it's not heavy, sticky and it doesn't smell. Highly recommend this one if you're looking for an SPF that incorporate skincare as well!
Bobbi Brown Stick Foundation
I don't know why it's taken me so long to get this! It's incredible. The coverage is amazing, like just one thin layer and you're flawless. I've also noticed with every Bobbi product I've ever used, it always matches my skin tone exactly, in no way any other foundation does. It blends out to a matte finish that isn't starchy or leaves your skin feeling dehydrated. It blends so, so easily - just a couple of pats of a beauty blender and your skin looks like you've used a filter. I'm not kidding, check out this selfie (I'm sorry if that comes across as big headed, but as someone that suffered with acne when I was 18, finally being able to have my skin look like this is a dream come true):

ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with Batiste because my scalp gets oily, especially when it's humid in the summer. I literally have a stockpile of it.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try the Bobbi Brown stick foundation. I use a cream to powder at the moment but needing something different.
ReplyDeleteMmm the body cream sounds like it smells delicious!
ReplyDeleteThe Batiste Dry Shampoo is awesome especially for coloured hair. My hair needs washing every other day so there would be no colour left on after a fortnight if I washed it so Batiste solves the problem and now my colour lasts about 2 months.
ReplyDeleteI have the soap & glory mascara- it's one of my favourites
ReplyDeleteI'm still so unsure about a stick foundation. I have just never got on with them x
