I'd honestly recommend this primer to anybody, it seems to do everything. This is a one size fits all primer, as far as any can be! To begin with, it's very, very soft to touch and feels very luxurious. It's totally transparent so does not colour correct, add any tints or any shimmer.
It feels very hydrating and very comfortable on my generally dry skin. That being said, the texture is very slightly silicone-y (think Smashbox Photo Finish Primer), although I have no idea if the formula actually contains silicone. It definitely takes away excess shine, whilst still somehow maintaining a naturally radiant complexion. It has a balancing effect over the whole face, makes you glow where you should be glowing, and matte where you should be matte. My favourite thing about it is how effective it is at smoothing and blurring pores and filling in all the fine lines around my eye areas; it's like an instant perfecting veil.

Oiliness did start to come through after about 6 hours and my skin isn't particularly oily (so to be honest, a bit of shine is always welcome!), especially around my forehead so perhaps if you have oily skin you might be reaching for blotting paper/powder after a while. That being said, despite having my natural glow showing through my foundation, my make up didn't budge. It didn't slip or slide around my face at all.
I have been using this product near enough every day I've worn make up and I'm truly loving it, I can't recommend it enough. Mostly because it's so good, but also because I'm getting really passionate about shopping with more independent beauty brands, and Sara Hill make up is one of them. Her products that I've tried are consistently amazing, especially this one. Shop the Luxury Face Primer here.
This post contains PR samples, but this in no way affects my opinion on the product/s mentioned.

I need a good primer and based on your description, it seems perfect for me. Do you know if these products are available in Europe?

ReplyDeleteI really put a lot of store in a good primer but having read your review, my skin does have a tendancy to oilyness / greasyness so not sure if this would be the primer for me.
ReplyDeleteI've never tried a primer - sounds like I should think seriously about it!
