I've been using them now for around 10 days and I think I'm ready to give feedback!
Hoola Quickie Contour Stick
I found this a little underwhelming because I was expecting a lot more than this. Don't get me wrong, the colour is a perfect neutral brown to carve out those (non-existent) cheek bones and it blends beautifully and evenly, and it has a really nice cream to powder formula. My issue is that it's not that pigmented once it's blended out. You definitely have to build it up to get a visible colour on the face. If you like a natural contour, then you might like this, but then again, if you're going to contour, you want it to actually make a difference, am I right?
Hoola Lite
I'm a big fan of the original Hoola and I am also loving this one, it's perfect for us fair skinned gals! The formula is the same: it's creamy, soft and blends like a dream without skipping or being patchy. If you're pale, this is a must.
Dandelion Twinkle
I was surprised at this, also. It's not like any other highlight that you can find recently, what with the strobing trend calling for an in-your-face, beaming glow. This finds a really happy medium between subtle and bold, and I have to say I'm really loving it. It's bright enough that it catches the light stunningly on your cheek bones, but it's subtle enough that it looks soft and gentle. I also love that it's in keeping with the whole Dandelion theme, like their other Dandelion products it's very feminine with the soft pink tone/s. The formula is really nice too. It has very little fall out and doesn't grab onto pores or texture.
Overall I've got to say I am liking the new launches. I haven't been blown away like, for example, when Becca launched Champagne Pop, but none of these are a duds, for sure. Have you tried any of these yet? What did you think?

I just got a sample of the contour stick and I'm excited to use it now that I know it isn't that pigmented! I'm quite fair and find contour sticks to often be too intense so this one might be perfect for me!

Your pics are always amazing
ReplyDeleteDandelion Twinkle and Hoola Lite are two products the sales assistant used for me when I had a full face done with Benefit. I loved Dandelion Twinkle and I think I may buy that in January along with the Benefit Cheek Parade so I can get both Hoolas!
