Becca X Chrissy Teigen Glow Face Palette

I bought the Becca x Chrissy Tiegen palette! This isn't a review because I haven't used it on my face yet, but it's so pretty I had to give it a post of it's own. I was hesitant initially when I saw that Becca was launching a new face palette in collaboration with Chrissy Tiegen. I'll admit, I didn't pay any attention to the pre-launch hype.

I was just kind of convinced at the time that it was going to be almost identical to Jaclyn Hill's Champagne Face Palette  (review here), so I wasn't really that interested, even though that assumption was unfounded. It wasn't until I got the e-mail from Space NK that it was in stock, that I headed over to their website and had a proper look at the photographs of it for the first time that I realised, holy shit, this is a work of art.

From the very second I opened it (actually, my boyfriend did. I was in the shower and heard the post arrive so insisted he brought it up and opened it in the bathroom so I could look at it.... are you judging me?)  I was swooning over the packaging. The marble, the pastels, the pinks and those metallic rose gold edges!

I love the feel of the powders, they're very soft to swatch and look very pigmented. I think the shades are gorgeous and it definitely reminds me of a sunset. It's a really nice selection of colours that go so well together and really compliment each other.

L-R: Hibiscus Bloom, Rose Gold, Beach Nectar, Malibu Soleil

  2. I don't normally go for blush/bronzer palettes but I always thought Chrissy Teigan's makeup looks great, and the shades she uses are really flattering! So I was quite interested, and I do really like the shades, it's nice to see something a bit different :) x
