Red Carpet Hair with GHD

I am a total hair styling amateur, but when I'm flicking through my glossy magazines oggling the stunning red carpet hairstyles, even I can't help but at least try and emulate one or two which catch my eye.

I'm definitely drawn to 1920s hairstyles and your typical "Hollywood siren" hair. My hair is in a "lob" style so I did I quick google, "red carpet short hair" for some inspiration. I found this picture of Lily Collins:
I'm totally in love with this look! It definitely inspired me. So I got to playing with my ghd Tropic Sky platinum stylers*.
First of all, I prepped my hair using the ghd Heat Protectant Spray*. My hair naturally falls into a middle parting but I pushed mine into a side parting. Then I separate my hair into small sections (lots of sections, because my hair is super thick) and curl each section.

Although the ghds I'm using are technically straighteners, it's so easy to create a curl. Wrap a section your hair around the straightener, then turn it 360 degrees, and pull down slowly for a bouncy curl. Here's a great ghd tutorial.
I pinned back one section of my hair, as inspired by the look above by Lily Collins. Finally, to finish off the look and give it a glossy finish, I spritz my ghd Final Shine spray*.
The ghds I have make it very easy for even complete newbies like me to create beautiful, red carpet inspired hair styles.  Check out my Hair Inspo board on Pinterest for some inspiration on hairstyles to try yourself!

  3. While picking a hair straightener, settle on beyond any doubt that your decision has an extremely ergonomic hair straightener

  4. The tone is so persuasive and plausible.
