My Eye of Horus Picks & Review

I have a small selection of Eye of Horus products in my make up stash (at the moment!) but I've been reaching for them a lot lately, so I thought it was about time I gave them their dedicated space on the blog.

Maat Dark Temptress Palette
I've wanted to try Eye of Horus eyeshadows for the longest of times, so when I saw the size of this palette - truthfully - I was a little underwhelmed. It's very small; smaller than an iPhone. That being said, the quality did not disappointed. The shadows have a velvet-y texture and are intensely pigmented but with, believe it or not, little-to-no fall out.
The palette comes with two matte shades and a satin shade, the latter applies like a very subtle satin and is not shimmery at all, and finishes with more of a sheen. All three are fabulous neutral tones so would suit everyone. I have been using this palette near enough daily, it is perfect for everyday, minimalist make up. However the pigment in the darker shade is buildable so you can easily create a darker, sultry smokey eye for a more night time appropriate look.

Bio Mascara
I've been loving this mascara! It adds really dramatic length and volume to my lashes. My favourite thing though is that the comb is double sided. On one side it's fatter and on the other side it's small and skinny, so it's perfect for getting into the more intricate lashes on the inner corners of your eyes, as well as being able to precisely apply mascara to the bottom lashes. Plus, the formula is growth promoting, containing Omega 9, Vitamin E and Castor Seed Oil, all natural sources of collagen.

Liquid Define
I love a good eyeliner, I really do. Pretty much every time I wear make up, I've got eye liner on. I've been really loving the formula of the Liquid Define from Eye of Horus, it's very opaque and as black as you could want an eye liner. The consistency is great, too - it's not runny at all and really easy to control, especially with the super fine tip. It's very skinny but flexible, so makes tight lining and getting right behind the lash line a piece of cake. This has definitely become my staple liquid liner!

Brow Fibre Extend
A brow gel is a must in my make up kit, and I've been obsessed with this one lately. It adds a hint of colour to the brow to fill in any sparse gaps, but it isn't so heavily pigmented that it is over bearing. It's really build-able and super easy to wear completely alone for a natural brow look. It doesn't clump, become cake-y or transfer.  It dries down really fast and holds my brows in place all day long. But this brow gel goes the extra mile, also thickening brows thanks to the it containing Moringa Oil and seaweed extracts, so if you have naturally sparse brows this is definitely one to look into! I also love the dinky little comb this product comes with, it's so micro that you can get into all those little hairs and create a real natural, feather-y effect.
