My Travelling Memories

"What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that's gone forever" - Karl Lagerfeld.

I really like this quote from Karl Lagerfield; as a photographer, it really resounds with me. A big part of why I love doing what I do, is because it captures memories and preserves them forever. This is especially true when it comes to travelling. I've visited places in the world that I probably won't be visiting again, or at least, not for a long time (#PoorStudentLife), which makes it extra important to capture memories.  Destination2 are all about creating and capturing memories while travelling, so I'd like to share with you how I preserve my treasured holiday memories once I get home.
I am a photo album junkie. I have bags and bags of photo albums, and I love getting home from a trip and filling up a new one! I find photo album-ing really relaxing, I like to sit down with a cup of tea, put some music on in the background, and take my time organising and placing my photographs.
I think photo albums are such great things to keep, so you can always revisit your happy holiday memories. Did you know that only 12.5% of holidaymakers actually get their images printed once they get home?* I think that's such a shame! I think there's also something very special about having physical, hard copies of photographs, not just keeping them on your phone or on a computer, in the same way a physical book is always better than an E-book.

  1. I'm exactly the same, I love taking photos of the places I go to and buying cute albums for them too. I'm hoping in years to come they'll all be in a box box and I can just sit and look at them all! xx

  2. This was really an interesting topic and I kinda agree with what you have mentioned here! Canada eTA Visa
