I don't know about you, but I don't really like to carry make up with me day-to-day so 'touch ups' aren't my thing. As such, I am always on the hunt for products to make my make up last, and - most importantly - I like it to look flawless all day long.
Lately, Too Faced's Hangover X Setting Spray and the Born This Way Setting Powder have been my weapons of choice.
The setting spray is 3-in-1: it's a primer, setting spray and a replenishing spray. I do enjoy the coconut scent but I'd say it's a little bit off, you can smell it's a synthetic coconut fragrance so it has a slightly chemical scent to it. I love using it as a primer, it feels especially refreshing on bare skin. It's very hydrating so is perfect for prepping my skin with some last minute moisture before make up, which is especially apt for this time of year. I find it keeps my make up in place and looking fresh all day, I don't notice my foundation budging/smudging/becoming cakey etc. As for a replenishing spray, I think that's a nice idea and certainly is great for at home, but it's quite a big, bulky bottle so isn't ideal for carrying around, which is what I personally do with refreshing face mists. As a primer and setting spray, though, it comes highly recommended by me!
However I cannot stand the packaging. I've seen a lot of people raving about it on social media but it's not for me. I couldn't get a picture of it because it's so messy, but basically you have a chunky secondary lid underneath the main lid that has a heart etched into it. The secondary lid has little 'teeth' that fill the holes of the of the sifter, so to get powder out you have to flip up the secondary lid. Because of where the secondary lid is positioned once it's up, it's really hard to sift some powder out into the main lid to use without making a huge mess; you can't push it completely into the lid you have to hold it at an angle. I hope that makes some sense! But yeah, I find it difficult to use so now that I've reviewed it, it's unlikely I'll be using it because it's just so damn messy.
On a final note, I can't believe I missed 4 days of Blogtober posts. I had some really bad news so kind of abandoned my blog for 48 hours, and one I'd missed a couple of days I kind of just stopped caring. But I'll try and post for the rest of October!
