A Look At My Perfume Collection | AD

I adore perfumes, I really do. They're a simple, everyday luxury you can indulge in. I think spritzing a fragrance can really change your mood and make you feel beautiful and confident, if you smell good - you feel good.

Take a look at my perfume collection:

Valentino Donna Acqua
This was a a gift from my boyfriend so this has some real sentimental value to it, but I do just love the fragrance. It's almost food-like, smelling very strongly of sweet almonds. It's very light but it also has a hint of muskiness to it, also.

Green Almond, Frosted Pear, Frangipani Rose, Sandalwood, Hawthorn

Sicilian Mandarain, Jasmine Absolute, Ylang-Ylang, Tunisian Orange Blossom, Indonesian Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Benzoin

May Rose, Jasmine, Citrus, Vanilla

These are my two absolute favourites. They're such classic, timeless fragrances and to me, are the ultimate luxury.  They're always saved for special occasions - birthdays, Christmas, dining out, New Years Eve, etc.

I always get compliments when I wear this, it's very strong - but not over powering. It's deep and feminine and spicy.

Gardenia, Amber, Musk, Tuberose

YSL Mon Paris
This is very sweet to begin with, but dries down to be subtle and delicate.

Pear, Fruit, Datura Orchid, White Flowers, Patchouli, White Musk

YSL Black Opium
You can really smell the vanilla in this fragrance, which smells very pretty against the 'darkness' of the coffee notes.

Pink Pepper, Pear, Orange Blossom, Coffee, Jasmine, Ceda, Patchouli, Vanilla

Parfen Perfumes*
Parfen Perfumes are a European perfume brand which offer something a little different. They value affordability over high ticket marketing and packaging - so all of their perfumes come in the same minimalistic (but still pretty cute, in my opinion) bottles, with prices starting at £15.90 for 30ml. These bottles are refillable, which means not only do you save money each time, but they're more environmentally friendly (however, there is also the option of luxury, non refillable bottles should you prefer).

No. 881 Luxurious Peony

This is intensely floral, light and airy and very feminine. It reminds me a little of baby powder - is that an odd thing to say?

Fig, Cyclamen, Bergamot, Tarragon, Sage, Violet, Peach Blossom, Rose Oil, Orange Flower, Peony, Orris, White Musk, Incense, Vanilla, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, Heliotrope

No. 590 Cassis & Vanilla

Fruity and floral, but not intensely sweet. It's a very gentle scent.

Cassis, Freesia, May Rose, Vanilla, Patchouli, Ambroxan, Woody

No. 572 Blackcurrant & Vanilla

This is my favourite from Parfen. It's light, vivid, with a hint of fruit and subtly spicy. Dries down to be quite sweet.

Blackcurrant, Pear, Iris, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Praline
All of their perfumes are made from fine French essential oils, so the quality of the fragrance is still there - I can totally attest to this. The fragrances I have are really nice and smell just as luxurious as the higher priced perfumes in my collection. The scents are really long lasting and strong without being overpowering. I spritzed some on my mum and she walked past me later on in the day and I could still smell it really strongly.

Issey Miyake L'eau d'Issey

This is a very fresh, day time fragrance. I love it, it's very refreshing.

Notes: Rose, Lotus, Lily, Fresh Flowers, Precious Woods

Tom Ford

Velvet Orchid
This is just gorgeous. Opulent, woody and sexy.

Honey, Rum, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Jasmine, Rose Oil, Orchid, Orange Blossom, Magnolia, Heliotrope, Narcissus, Magnolia, Vanilla, Myrrh, Suede, Sandalwood, Labdanum, Balsam

Orchid Soleil
This is like summer in a bottle. It's intensely floral, very vanilla-ry, with a little something extra. This is a very different scent - it's like a twist on the typical floral fragrance.

Tuberose Petals, Black Orchid, Headspace, Spider Lily Accord, Vanilla, Chestnut, Cream Accord, Patchouli

Tom Ford perfumes are like, luxury plus one. I adore both of these, and gravitate towards the lighter, floral Orchid Soleil in the summertime and the richer, spicier Velvet Orchid in the cooler months.

Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge

This is really light and feminine but you get almost an 'after taste' of spice.

Notes: Red currant, Raspberry, Pink Pepper, Rose, Jasmine, Patchouli, Vanilla

Nuxe Fragrant Water
This is very summery, light and tropical.

Sweet Orange, Petitgrain, Coconut, Tiare, Vanilla, Musk
