Urban Decay All Nighter Concealer REVIEW

Urban Decay recently launched the counter part to their award winning All Nighter Foundation, the All Nighter Concealer: described as "a major problem solver", it's a water resistant, full coverage concealer formulated to keep your skin looking "beautifully matte"^.
I've been putting this concealer to the test the past week or so, and I have to say, I agree with the claims (although I can't say about the waterproof part, I haven't been swimming!). I've tried a tonne of concealers by now and I have to say, this has fast become one of my favourites. It actually reminds me a lot of the USA's number one concealer, Tarte Shape Tape, but the formula is marginally thicker.

My favourite aspect of it is that it really is full coverage. This concealer takes no prisoners, it erases dark circles and unsightly pigmentation in an instant. It blends out really easily and to a really smooth matte finish. I find it sits really well on my under eye area and doesn't emphasise any fine lines, and doesn't crease throughout the day either.  I found that it wore really well and looks fresh all day (or should I say all night?) long.
It feels light weight and doesn't look thick or cake-y either, despite having quite a thick consistency. It's almost like a pot and liquid concealer hybrid; like a cream. As such, a little bit goes a really long way. I also found that powder layers well on top of it, one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to concealers is when they seem to cling to powder, or just make it sit weirdly.
I have to say I think this is fantastic value for a high end brand. £20 for a concealer that does everything I want a concealer to do - i.e I'm not switching between a concealer to highlight, a concealer to correct my under eye area, and a concealer to cover blemishes - is reasonable. On another note, I love the packaging, I've always loved the criss cross design of the All Nighter Foundation. I think it's really unique and stylish, and very Urban Decay - you know, slightly edgy.
The only thing I don't like is that it's a bit dry - but obviously it is a matte finish. I have combination to dry skin, but more on the drier side. It's not uncomfortably so - and you can't see it, it doesn't look crunchy or cakey etc -  but I did feel it slightly, so if your skin is severely dry you might want to bear that in mind.
Do you think you'll pick this up?

  2. I have a love hate relationship with the All Nighter foundation but I really want to try out the concealer because of how full coverage it is. And the packaging is so cool!

  3. I've got my eye on the setting spray and this may be a possible purchase when at the counter too !

  8. Ooooh, I would really like to try this out! The UD Naked Concealer is my all time favourite, but it might have to make way for this one! Great review, I hope to pick it up soon! (Like I need more makeup.... Oh well.)
