March Favourites

It is I, back for another monthly favourites! March seems to have come and gone so quick, especially because I was barely at uni because of the strikes, and now April is full steam ahead with deadlines!

So I'm very busy basically from now until exam season in May, so please forgive me that the blog is going to be sitting on the back burner. For now, though, let's take a look at what I was loving in March!

Imperial Leather Cherry Bakewell Shower Gel
Holy shit, this stuff smells incredible! I am obsessed with smelling like baked goods, to be honest. Seriously though - I can't get enough of this shower gel. It really does smell amazing, it actually takes a lot of self restraint not to taste it when I'm in the shower! The fact it's less than £2 though... it's a winner!

Smashbox Matte Exposure Palette
This has to have been my go-to eye palette lately. It's all matte (duh), so is very practical for everyday. I've also re-fallen in love with the classic matte smokey eye; applying a dark chocolate brown all over my lid and buffing it out with a neutral transition shade has been my staple look of late. If you're in the market for a new everyday palette, look no further.
Smashbox Drawn In Decked Out Brush Set
This is sadly no longer available as it was originally released as one of their Christmas gift sets, I believe. I picked it up on sale half price, so for £20 (a bargain for a brush set), I got: a pointed concealer brush, two eyeshadow brushes, a fan brush and a foundation brush. I love the design of these brushes I think they really stand out! But, more importantly, the quality of the bristles is fantastic, especially the fan brush - it's so soft! They all pick up product beautifully but also don't retain it, so it is quite possible to dip my eyeshadow brush from a dark brown shade to a lighter shade without. I'm glad I nabbed this at such a fantastic value, it's a shame it's not for sale anymore because I'd love to recommend it!

Too Faced Peach Blur*
You can see a full review of this here - but lately I've been all about the rosy glow and this is just the ticket. I apply it instead of a typical loose or translucent powder (except for under my eyes) and it imparts just the most subtle healthy, youthful warmth to the skin. It looks so beautiful, you can see how Ellis wore it in this photo shoot. I especially like using it to add a touch of radiance to a matte foundation after it's been on a few hours! I truly cant recommend this powder enough, it's fantastic.
Smashbox Lipstick Stylist Matte
This has been my 'neutral' shade. As we transition from Winter to Spring, I feel this is the perfect colour. It's just the perfect hue between a Wintery berry tone and a Spring-like pink. To me, this is bold enough to brighten up a dismal, overcast day but its not bright enough to compare to a statement red or pink lip.
Omorovicza Omoressence
I've been using this on rotation for a while, but because of the high price tag I've always used it very sparingly. I was lucky enough to get sent a new bottle in PR from Omorovicza, so I'm using the original bottle I purchased much more frivolously, and I'm loving it. It smells so fresh, and leaves my skin feeling so hydrating and soft. It's noticeably softer even after the first couple of regular uses!

Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation
You can read my full review here (as well as my thoughts on the Nars Spring 18 collection) and I have to say I'd been wearing this as my base pretty much every day in March. It's got such a nice finish, it's not quite matte, and it's not quite dewy, but it has a luminous quality to it without any shine. It feels very comfortable to wear and sits so well on my skin, it doesn't cling to any dry patches or pores. It's got brilliant coverage, I'd say it's medium to full. I find a small couple of pumps goes a really long way, and totally covers the pigmentation I want my foundation to hide. Long story short: this is pretty much everything I want in a foundation - I highly recommend!
