I'm finally back with another post! I've had so much planned, even around uni work, but then a nasty chest infection got in the way. Moving swiftly on, today I'm talking about the new Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter.
This little gem looks deceptively like a foundation, but it's actually a new primer:
"A new revolutionary category in makeup, Hollywood Flawless Filter is a customisable, complexion booster, that gives everyone super starlit skin in seconds. It has the versatility of a primer, the mega-watt glow of a highlighter, and the perfecting properties of your favourite digital filter"
Available in 7 different shades, this is designed to compliment your personal skin tone. I own the shade 1 Fair, which I find blends into my skin invisibly, so whilst it doesn't look like a second layer, it leaves you looking a little extra beautiful in the most subtle way. In a sort of, "something's changed about you, but I can't put my finger on it" way. You look healthier and brighter, your skin tone is more even and there's a hint of a glow.
Top: unblended, Bottom: blended out.
What I really love is that it's quite a versatile product. When used as a primer, you can totally customise the glow factor. Whilst the texture is a little thicker than I expected (it's more like a cream than a liquid) you can just add another layer if you want to amp up the wow factor and give yourself a real lit from within glow. I can also be applied over the top of foundation as a cream highlighter. I love using it this way because, similarly, the glow can be built up; you can layer it on your cheekbones for a strobing effect or just a couple of dabs for a subtle sheen.
Overall, I highly recommend this product! It's price-y, but in my opinion it's worth it. Have you tried this yet? What did you think?
